EcomAiBridge (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides AI-connectivity middleware and related plugins for e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, OpenCart and custom stores. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use our website, register for a licence, install our plugins, or contact us.

By using EcomAiBridge, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Who is responsible for your data

EcomAiBridge is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. For any privacy-related question, contact us at support@ecomaibridge.com.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

Account & licence data: name, email address, store domain, billing country, and licence key when you register for Free or PRO.

Payment data: when you purchase PRO, payment is processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full card details on our servers.

Support messages: anything you send us via the contact form, email, or support channels.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Usage data from our plugins: plugin version, platform (WordPress / OpenCart / Standalone), domain, and basic health-check pings used to validate your licence and serve updates.

Website analytics: standard log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL, used in aggregate to improve the site.

Cookies: essential cookies for session handling and preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2.3 Your store’s data

EcomAiBridge middleware reads product, category, order, and customer data from your store and exposes it to the AI platforms you explicitly connect (for example ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, custom MCP clients). This data is not copied to or stored on our servers. It is served on request, from your own installation, to the AI clients you authorise.

3. How we use your information

To create and manage your account and licence key.

To deliver plugin updates, bug fixes, and PRO features.

To provide technical support and respond to your messages.

To send service emails (licence expiry, security notices, major product updates). You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service.

To improve the product and the website based on aggregated usage patterns.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you are in the EU / UK, we process your data under the following legal bases: contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interest (to keep the service secure and improve it), consent (where required, e.g. marketing emails), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) to handle PRO payments.

Email providers used to send transactional and support emails.

Hosting & infrastructure providers that run our servers.

Authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

All processors are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. AI platforms and your store data

When you connect EcomAiBridge to an AI platform such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, that platform receives the store data you explicitly expose (catalog, stock, prices, order lookups, etc.). Those platforms have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. EcomAiBridge is not responsible for how third-party AI providers handle data once it leaves your store.

7. Data retention

Account and licence data: kept for as long as your account is active, plus up to 3 years after cancellation for tax and audit purposes.

Support emails: typically kept for up to 3 years.

Website logs and analytics: rotated within 12 months.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS-encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular backups. No system is completely secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and any regulators as required by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@ecomaibridge.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children

EcomAiBridge is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our servers and sub-processors may be located outside your country. Where required, we use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect data transferred across borders.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via email or on this page. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was most recently revised.
